About Us…..

Formerly known as West Michigan Education Services (WMES), the Board of Directors recently expressed an interest in shedding its geographical stigma and expanding services Statewide.  Inspired by Woodbridge N. Ferris, founder of the Big Rapids Industrial School (now known as Ferris State University ), the Board agreed to rename its corporation “Woodbridge Group, Inc.”

            Mr. Ferris, a visionary educator, two-time Governor of Michigan (1913-1917) and a U.S. Senator (1922-1928) aspired to “Make The World Better” by providing educational opportunities to those willing to learn.  

            In “The Autobiography of W.N. Ferris 1953-1928,” Mr. Ferris notes “Schools must deal with fundamentals, must build a foundation and furnish a plan for a possible human structure of beauty, strength and service.”    The “beauty” of  Woodbridge Group, Inc.’s “strength and service” is that we are a non-profit corporation that is dedicated to providing quality services to charter schools.
